OK, so this was me before the ridge wallet. I had always thought about downsizing my wallet to something smaller, but I simply couldn’t wrap my head around not having everything I “needed”.
A few weeks ago, I was sent a modern, slim, RFID-blocking front pocket wallet from our new storage partner, Tegile. It was such a cool gift, and I wanted to give this innovative little thing a try, but I had my hesitations.
Here is what I did, I thought of the things I used the most, really it was just a couple of cards, my ID, my company badge and a bit of cash. I realized, I rarely use those and if I needed the information I have that stored on my phone. Furthermore, I always have my laptop bag with me, so why not keep them there? I almost backed out, I even started to load my wallet back-up, however I pushed through the fear and quickly stuffed the new ridge wallet in my front pocket!
I stood up walked around the office, with a new sense of lightness, a sense of freedom! I had to admit I felt proud of myself making this huge transition… I could get use to this… I am a minimalist!
My first purchase…. A coffee, cappuccino to be specific, from “The Coffee Shop” a local place in the east bay. I felt so good pulling out my sleek new wallet, normally I felt a bit of embarrassment pulling out my Costanza. Now I feel the accomplishment of going lean, a man with just the necessities. I was now one of those start-up guys, the forward thinker, the inventor, the modern explorer. OK maybe that’s a bit too far, but you get the point - it feels good to lighten the load.
In summary, it was a great move to the ridge wallet! Thanks Tegile for my new wallet, and your innovative storage solution!
